Waris Khan Stopped Counting Followers. His Clients Started Counting Meetings.

Founder/CEO of GrowthifyX | Marketing Strategist | Social Media Marketing Specialist | Entrepreneur | Lead Generation Specialist

A small business can pay a social media manager, a web developer, an ad buyer, a lead generator, and an assistant, and still have no idea where its next customer is coming from. Each person does the job. Nobody connects the jobs. The posts go out, the likes come in, and the calendar stays empty. Waris Khan saw that pattern often enough to build a company around ending it.

The Founder Who Keeps Score in Conversations

Waris Khan, based in London, is the Founder and CEO of GrowthifyX, the growth company he started in 2022. In four years, he has built it into a growth partner for businesses across multiple industries and markets, with a team of more than two dozen specialists behind him. His clients come to him not for followers but for conversations that turn into revenue.

The Missing Link Nobody Was Hired to Fix

Waris came to entrepreneurship through marketing, and what he learned there was practical before it was formal. Working around growing businesses, he kept noticing the same fracture.

“I saw that many small and growing businesses were hiring separate people for social media, lead generation, websites, advertising, and administrative support. But there was often no single strategy connecting all of those functions.”

That observation became the founding premise of GrowthifyX in 2022. Plenty of agencies could run a campaign. Far fewer would take responsibility for what happened after it. Waris wanted his firm on the other side of that line.

“I wanted to build a company that could act more like a growth partner than simply another marketing agency.”

The company did not start there. It began with individual marketing services, the work any new agency sells to get through its first year. Waris names the move from those single services to an integrated growth model as one of the three decisions that mattered most. Another was close behind it: no two clients would receive the same package.

In December 2023, about a year into running the business, he completed the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program through Wharton Online. The program changed the question he was asking. He stopped thinking only about delivering a service and started thinking about building a company.

“It pushed me to think more systematically about value creation, scalability, customer needs, experimentation, and building processes that allow a company to grow without depending entirely on its founder.”

For someone barely a year into running a company, that is an unusual goal. Most early founders are the business. Waris set out to make sure his would outgrow him.

Pipelines Over Popularity

Today GrowthifyX works across social media marketing, lead generation, virtual assistance, web development, SEO, and paid advertising. The range is deliberate. It answers the scattered hiring Waris saw at the start by putting every function under one roof and pointing them all at one outcome: new customers.

That outcome is where he parts ways with much of his industry.

“I believe one of the biggest mistakes brands make is treating social media as a content competition rather than part of a complete customer acquisition system.”

It is a pointed claim in a business that often sells reach, and his client work backs it up. One engagement began with a company that already had an online presence but struggled to turn that visibility into real opportunities. People were seeing the brand. Few were becoming buyers.

For that client, GrowthifyX combined social media, lead generation, direct outreach, and appointment setting. Within the first few months, the business had a steady pipeline of qualified leads and sales conversations, a stronger digital presence, and a repeatable way to create new opportunities. Followers were never the scoreboard.

“The goal is to build a repeatable system rather than depend on one viral post or one individual on the team.”

The last part of that sentence matters, because Waris holds his own company to the same standard. GrowthifyX has grown to more than two dozen people in specialized roles covering content, outreach, lead generation, appointment setting, client communication, web development, and strategy. Delivery does not rest on any single person, including the founder.

Waris hires for character first.

“My non-negotiables when hiring are reliability, willingness to learn, communication, and ownership. Skills can be developed, but attitude and accountability are much harder to teach.”

He invests in training so his team understands why the work matters, not just what to do next. His longer aim is to develop leaders from within who can eventually run clients, teams, and entire functions on their own.

Over the next 12 to 24 months, his focus turns outward. Waris is expanding the client base internationally, with the U.S. and UK as priority markets, and building specialized offerings for the industries where GrowthifyX consistently delivers.

“The long-term objective is to build a company known not just for providing marketing services, but for helping businesses create reliable systems for acquiring customers and scaling their operations.”

The Room He Does Not Need to Be In

Somewhere right now, a business owner is paying five people who never speak to each other, watching the likes climb while the calendar stays empty. Waris Khan built GrowthifyX for that owner. His answer was never louder content. It was a company that connects the pieces, measures success in conversations, and keeps running whether or not its founder is in the room.

Attention is easy to buy, and Waris Khan has built a company around the harder thing: turning it into a calendar full of meetings.
