Hanfling’s professional journey began in New York’s fast-paced television news environment, where she trained at Good Day New York and later worked as a production assistant at WNYW. These early roles taught her to think independently, move quickly, and understand the dynamics inside rooms filled with strong personalities and high expectations.

The newsroom became an education not only in production but in audience psychology. She learned how timing, clarity, and narrative structure determine whether a message resonates or disappears.

She later spent nearly a decade producing at The Oprah Winfrey Show and went on to work on Anderson Cooper’s daytime program. During her tenure, the show received an Emmy nomination, reflecting the collaborative work of the production team responsible for shaping conversations viewed by millions.

“Every day I was working alongside the best of the best in television and learning constantly—lessons that shaped how I think and what I teach to this day,” Hanfling reflects.

For years, Hanfling worked behind the scenes helping others prepare for visibility. A turning point came when high-performance coach Brendon Burchard invited her to speak. Accepting the invitation placed her in the same vulnerable position she had long coached others through.

“As I prepared to speak, I felt exactly like the people I used to put on camera—terrified and excited at the same time,” she recalls.

Applying the same techniques she had refined in television production, aligning message, voice, body language, and energy, she discovered a natural transition into teaching and coaching. That single experience opened the door to developing courses focused on media preparation, storytelling, confidence, and communication strategy, and marked the beginning of her consulting work.

She soon realized that the skills used to prepare individuals for television appearances were equally valuable for executives navigating presentations, leadership communication, and high-stakes professional conversations.


Beyond the Stage

Today, Hanfling works with leaders, founders, authors, sales teams, and purpose-driven professionals preparing for moments where communication carries significant consequences. Her work focuses on helping clients align what they say with how they say it so their message reflects both authenticity and strategic intention.

She prepares clients for appearances across major media platforms including TodayShark Tank, and QVC, guiding preparation well before cameras turn on.
