Radhika Khandelwal, ACC: The Architect of Sustainable Authority

Who Is Radhika Khandelwal?

Radhika Khandelwal, ACC, is a Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach who works with senior leaders at critical inflection points usually when executive mandate enterprise value and board confidence are at stake. With over 20 years of experience, including serving as a divisional COO at Vanguard and a Senior Manager at Deloitte, she bridges the gap between rigorous strategy and the nuanced art of sustainable authority. As the Founder of RNK Coaching, Radhika partners with C-suite leaders to refine judgment and strengthen decision- making under board-level scrutiny.

For nearly two decades, Radhika Khandelwal operated within the “spotlight that never blinks”. As a Divisional Chief Operating Officer and Senior Manager at global giants like Vanguard and Deloitte, she led multi-million-dollar transformations under the intense scrutiny of boards and regulators. By every external metric, she was the definition of success: a first-generation executive navigating complex institutional hierarchies with clinical precision.

However, the true tipping point was not a dramatic collapse, but a quiet, unsettling realization. Radhika noticed a recurring pattern among the high-performing leaders she most respected, including herself. They were delivering extraordinary outcomes while becoming increasingly disconnected from their own energy, intuition, and relationships.

“High performance was being optimized, but sustainability was not. The cost surfaced later through strained relationships, diminished presence, and a narrowing of perspective. By then, it was invisible to the organization and deeply personal to the leader.”

This epiphany transformed her philosophy. She realized that for minority women, mothers, and caregivers, the cumulative cost of this “fragmentation” is even higher. She didn’t transition into executive coaching to slow down; she did it to help leaders operate with the same rigor and impact without trading away the very capacities that made them effective in the first place. Today, as the Founder and CEO of RNK Coaching, she serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, ensuring that their authority expands rather than contracts at critical inflection points.

A Global Mindset and Rigorous Discipline

Radhika’s journey began with a foundation of academic excellence and cross-cultural fluency. Recipient of a National Merit Scholarship in India and ranked 1st in the country for her French language skills (DELF), she demonstrated early on the ability to master complex systems. After earning her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, she entered the world of Big 4 consulting. These early years in Strategy and Operations and Enterprise Risk Services at Deloitte provided her with a “respect for reality”, an understanding that leadership frameworks must hold up under the same stress as enterprise technology systems. She then, rounded out that skillset by completing a prestigious Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School, the first and only one from her Deloitte practice to be nominated for it at the time. Her prolific travels to more than 80 countries allows her to bring a unique understanding of cultural conditioning and to effectively coach her clients on how to leverage that as a strategic advantage in a professional setting.

Leading at the Edge of Complexity

Her ascent through the corporate ranks was defined by her capacity to adapt as a first-generation immigrant to a fast-paced consulting environment and when the timing felt right, to seamlessly pivot into corporate. At Vanguard, she served as the Head of Strategic Services for the Enterprise Security & Fraud function, delivering strategic capabilities for a 1,000-person division and playing a crucial role in the development of enterprise-wide technology strategies. At Deloitte, she was nominated into their Management Development Program and built her strategy, influence, persuasion and negotiation skills as a Chief of Staff for a $2B business unit. At the apex of her career there, she played the role akin to that of a Junior Lead Relationship Partner on one of the firm’s top five financial services accounts, managing the largest and most complex transformations.

When Andrew Neitlich, Founder of the Center for Executive Coaching, crossed paths with her, her unique perspective and lived experience stood out:

“What sets her apart is that she has been there. She understands the 3 a.m. worries that keep executives up at night, driving transformation, leading strategy under pressure, and making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.”

Protecting the Executive Mandate

In January 2025, Radhika launched RNK Coaching to bridge the gap between rigorous strategic planning, execution excellence and the nuanced art of navigating power and influence in highly matrixed enviroments. Her work is uniquely designed for leaders operating in environments where political exposure and capital consequences converge. She helps executives move away from “conditional self-trust”—the trap of only trusting oneself when fully validated—toward a cleaner, quieter, and stronger form of influence.

Her impact extends beyond the C-suite. As a member of The Forum of Executive Women and a board member for The Pathway School, she is a strong advocate for a “go-giving” mindset. She believes that true leadership influence compounds when executives invest in clarity and trust beyond their own remit.

Stewardship and Internal Alignment

Radhika envisions a future where the role of the executive is one of dual stewardship: stewardship of organizational results and stewardship of personal authenticity. She believes the leaders who shape the future will not be those who simply “do more, faster,” but those who decide more cleanly and lead more consciously.

“When leaders stop negotiating against themselves, they do not just perform better. They lead effortlessly and on their own terms.”

Through her advisory work and her contributions to organizations like Luminary and the Welcoming Center, Radhika is redefining what it means to be a durable leader. Her legacy is built on the belief that the quality of a leader’s internal alignment ultimately determines the quality of their external impact.

Editorial Note

Radhika Khandelwal’s career is a testament to the fact that high-stakes leadership does not have to result in personal fragmentation. From the boardrooms of the Fortune 100 to strategic advisory at RNK Coaching, she has proven that political fluency and structural judgment are the keys to long-term credibility. Her journey inspires leaders to reclaim their identity and lead with a precision that protects both enterprise value and personal well-being.
