Building Purpose Into Every Line of Code: The Leadership Journey of Jared Fedorchuk

Who Is Jared Fedorchuk?

Jared Fedorchuk is the CEO and Partner at Levis Tech and co-creator of FoodCopia, known for driving purpose-built technology that strengthens communities. With a background spanning software development, executive leadership, and industry governance, he leads with a people-first philosophy, using tech to solve real-world problems with clarity, integrity, and impact.

In 2013, while developing a SaaS product for the midstream oil and gas sector, Jared Fedorchuk experienced an unexpected moment of clarity. The work was technically challenging and commercially promising, but something was missing. The impact didn’t feel meaningful. That realization stayed with him, ultimately shaping the leader he would become: someone who believes that technology should do more than solve operational problems; it should elevate communities, people, and purpose. This turning point became a catalyst for the career philosophy Jared now embodies, tech for good, people first.

Long before leading a technology firm, Jared was a hands-on problem solver with a passion for creating, optimizing, and improving systems. He began his career in technical roles, first as a Systems Analyst at Concorde Group, then as a Programmer and System Administrator at St. Solo, where he honed his understanding of how complex systems work behind the scenes.

Those early years, marked by real-world troubleshooting and building solutions from the ground up, helped shape Jared’s instinct for clarity, practicality, and purpose-driven design. The more he learned, the more he recognized a powerful truth: that the best technology isn’t defined by complexity, but by the impact it creates for the people who use it.

By the time he became a Partner and Senior Programmer at Stealth Interactive Media, Jared’s perspective had already evolved beyond coding. He began developing leadership habits, strengthening communication skills, and learning how to align teams around shared goals. These foundational experiences set the stage for the entrepreneur and executive he would eventually become.

Jared’s rise into executive leadership followed a natural path—driven by a combination of technical excellence, strategic insight, and an unshakeable commitment to doing meaningful work. At Stealth, he advanced into the roles of COO, CTO, and Partner, overseeing major development projects and guiding operational growth.

Still, he felt the pull toward something more intentional, more aligned with his emerging values. That direction would become clear when he co-founded Levis Tech, a company built not around buzzwords or trends, but around a straightforward mission: to create software that genuinely improves people’s lives.

By April 2018, Jared stepped into the role of President at Levis Tech and later became CEO—leading a team known for custom software and SaaS solutions that serve not only businesses, but entire communities. Under his leadership, Levis Tech expanded its portfolio across web, mobile, and cloud systems, developing technology that helps organizations work smarter, move faster, and serve others more effectively.

What sets Jared apart as a leader is his balanced approach. He is naturally patient, something he calls both a strength and a challenge, but he has learned when to push, how to communicate with purpose, and how to bring people along without creating friction. As he puts it, this evolution came from replacing stubbornness with self-reflection, building healthier habits, and being open to wisdom rather than resistant to it.

Throughout his journey, Jared also served in multiple leadership roles within the Saskatoon Executives Association, holding positions including Director, Vice President, and President, further strengthening his collaborative leadership style.

Jared’s desire for meaningful work crystallized with the creation of FoodCopia, a platform designed to streamline food bank logistics. Before its development, Jared admitted he had little understanding of how food banks operated. He imagined small rooms, volunteer groups, and modest storage.

That changed the moment he walked into Saskatoon’s food bank warehouse.

He was stunned by the scale, millions of pounds of food moving through a full-scale distribution system. The need was immense. The operations were complex. And the opportunity to help was undeniable.

Levis Tech built an inventory platform tailored to these needs. The response was overwhelming. After presenting FoodCopia at a food bank conference, Jared recalls receiving the most positive project feedback of his career. His words capture the significance of that moment:

“It became crystal clear that not only was the opportunity there, the food bank community genuinely wanted and valued the solutions we were capable of delivering.”

This was more than a successful project. It was validation that his commitment to purpose-driven technology could spark real, measurable impact across an entire sector.

Jared’s people-first approach is also recognized by those who work with him. As Amanda Chevrier, CPA, CA, shared in her recommendation:

“Jared and his team are very hard working and only limited by the imagination of their clients. Any business thinking about investing in software should give Jared a call.”

These reflections highlight a consistent pattern: Jared leads not by force, but by alignment. He believes strong communication and shared purpose create momentum naturally, an insight shaped by more than a decade of executive experience.

He is equally clear-eyed about leadership challenges, noting that some individuals operate for the wrong reasons. Over the years, he has learned to identify misalignment early, either helping recalibrate the group or choosing to move on. This discernment has become a cornerstone of how he selects projects, builds teams, and ensures that his work remains grounded in integrity and impact.

Today, Jared’s work at Levis Tech revolves around a simple but powerful philosophy: technology should be a tool for progress—and progress should benefit people.

He continues to lead initiatives that merge innovation with impact, guiding a team that specializes in:

  • Web and application development
  • Custom software and SaaS platforms
  • Mobile and cloud-based systems
  • Community-focused digital solutions

Looking ahead, Jared’s vision is clear. He wants Levis Tech to remain a place where meaningful work lives, where talented people can solve problems that matter, and where every line of code can push communities forward.

His leadership philosophy can be summarized in his own words:

“Staying aware of the balance, when to push, when to listen, helps me stay grounded, stay visionary, and stay focused on the people who make Levis Tech what it is.”

Jared Fedorchuk’s story is a reminder that leadership isn’t defined by titles or technical expertise, it’s defined by intention. His journey from programmer to CEO reflects a deep commitment to aligning skill with purpose and innovation with humanity.

Through Levis Tech and FoodCopia, he continues to demonstrate that technology can be both practical and transformational. And in a world where software often scales faster than meaning, Jared is building a legacy rooted in community impact, integrity, and purpose-driven leadership.

His work challenges us all to rethink what technology can be, and to consider how our own skills might serve something greater than ourselves.
