I grew up on a small farm in Kansas, was a National 4-H Entomology Project winner... which led me to Kansas State University and a degree in Entomology while working my way through school and doing some undergraduate research... I was headed to DOW Chemicals and a career in biologic control of insects, or so I thought. However the Air Force intervened (long story) and I ended up flying fighters for 40 years (F-4, F15, F16, A-10)... with only one ejection! When I retired I started my own business as an independent consultant and am still in business. In my spare time I golf, hunt, fish, fly model radio-controlled aircraft, and raise bees... while still finding time with my wife to continue to travel and to spoil our ten grandchildren.
