From the Diary Of

Henry E. Velasquez

I am 42 years old, born and raised in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Facts and anecdotes in my life have been sweet and sour although with a lot of learning which what has made me a person of strong but passionate character. I was the only child but never spoiled. With a lot of effort, I got my Chemical Engineering degree in 2001, work as a server and live in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, Yellowstone National Park 2001 & 2002, then I came back to Colombia to work at the National Oil Company as a contractor and finally I moved to Canada in 2010 where I have been living since then. Proud to be Canadian and happy to call Canada my home. I consider myself successful instead lucky because to success, you need to work hard, learn fast from failure and keep moving, not be lucky. I am believer that hard work, hope, respect and honesty are the right ingredients on Success’s recipe without being an expert cooker. Father of Tomas, Mateo & Valerie, Olga’s husband and proud co-founder and former captain of Toros Rugby Club in Bucaramanga. There are still many goals to achieve and all efforts are on to achieve them.
