From the Diary Of

Alvaro V. Moncada

I was born in a big traditional family in Pamplona, northern Spain. In 1998 I was a crew member in one of Christopher Columbus Caravels replicas and had the crazy chance of “Discovering America” by myself, which was a premonition because now I am and feel as American as Spaniard.

I am crazy about the All Blacks, The New Zealand national rugby team. I love how a country with less population than Madrid can consistently produce a team that is always one step ahead than the bigger and richer nations.

I dream about Hydro foiling with my kite and be as efficient as possible. I love the ocean and the wind, kite hydro foiling allows me to fly in a magic and silent carpet, and its in the middle of a windy ocean where I find one of my happy places.
