Ashley Quincey Built a Career Selling to P&G, LVMH, and Global Brands. Now She’s Building Fureelz.

Founder & CEO, Fureelz | Lead Generation Professional | Business Development Specialist | Strategist | Sales Executive | Social Media Marketing Expert

The resume reads like a map of the digital shelf. Forrester Research. Clavis Insight. Forter. Salsify. Global accounts at Procter and Gamble, Colgate, Mondelez, LVMH. Two decades of complex enterprise selling into the largest consumer brands on earth. Then, in 2025, Ashley Quincey founded Fureelz, a purpose-built social platform for animal lovers. Fureelz brings consumers, creators, pet brands and animal-welfare organizations into one ecosystem centered on animal content, community and giving. Today, users can watch short-form animal content, connect with others and donate directly to verified animal-welfare partners. Live commerce is in development as the company’s primary economic engine.

Building for a Category Nobody Was Defending

After two decades working at the intersection of consumer behavior, brands, commerce and data, Quincey saw an opportunity hiding in plain sight. Animal content consistently brings people together across age, geography and background, yet the experience largely lives inside general-purpose social platforms. She believed the category deserved its own environment, one designed around connection, discovery and positivity rather than competing for attention through outrage.

Twenty Years on the Selling Side of the Internet

She began her career in sales at IBM and EF Education, where she quickly established herself as a top performer before moving into technology research and enterprise sales.

At Forrester Research, she managed technology clients and finished 2006 at 109 percent of quota as her team’s top performer. Then came the part of her career that turned out to matter most. She joined BzzAgent in 2007, an early word-of-mouth marketing company, and later moved into social media technology at MZinga and Awareness just as brands were beginning to understand how online communities could influence consumer behavior.

From there she moved into commerce, first at Optaros and then Pod1, before joining Clavis Insight in 2014. Digital-shelf analytics was still an emerging category, and she spent nearly five years helping some of the world’s largest consumer brands understand how their products performed across ecommerce channels. Her accounts included Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Hershey’s, Colgate, Diageo and Keurig.

At Salsify, she managed strategic relationships with global brands including LVMH, Philips, Mondelez and Abbott, expanding accounts across products, services and geographies. Her later roles at Backbone, Planet FWD and DEPT kept her close to ecommerce, retail and emerging consumer businesses before she stepped out to build Fureelz herself.

“Looking back, Fureelz sits at the intersection of many of the things I have spent my career working on: community, consumer behavior, commerce, data, and brands.”

She earned her degree in political science from Emory University, but the education that ultimately shaped Fureelz came from two decades spent inside technology, social media, ecommerce, and consumer brands.

2,500+ Users Across 81 Countries, Organically

Fureelz was founded in 2025 and publicly launched on iOS and Android in April 2026. From the beginning, Quincey made two choices central to the product: build specifically around animal content and community rather than create another general social platform, and make giving part of the experience rather than a cause-marketing layer added later. As the company evolved, she brought live commerce forward in the roadmap as the economic engine intended to support the broader ecosystem.

At this stage, Quincey has been deliberate about testing, learning, and iterating before putting meaningful capital behind growth. The early traction has therefore been largely organic, allowing the team to see what users respond to before scaling paid acquisition. More than 200,000 video-watch events since launch. Five-star ratings on both app stores. Rather than chase growth at any cost, the approach has been to prove what works organically, remove friction, and then put capital behind the behaviors already showing traction.

Fureelz secured early partnerships with PetSmart Charities and Best Friends Animal Society, bringing two nationally recognized animal-welfare organizations into the platform’s giving experience. For Quincey, that was an important signal that the mission resonated beyond consumers alone.

Another formative relationship began at Global Pet Expo, where she met Steven Meserve of Loving Cats Worldwide. His value went beyond the size of his audience. Quincey wanted the perspective of someone deeply embedded in the animal community, and he became an advisor to Fureelz. His reach also provided an early distribution test: one tracked campaign generated 602 clicks and 230 app opens.

Keeping Fureelz positive is a product decision, not simply a branding one. Community guidelines rule out graphic violence, cruelty, bullying, sexual content and political rhetoric, and the platform is designed not to reward outrage simply because outrage drives engagement. The business model is designed around four revenue streams: live commerce, brand partnerships, advertising and creator tools. Live commerce, now in development, is intended to become the company’s primary economic engine.

“Our business model does not require us to make people angry in order to make money.”

The feedback that means most to her is the kind she did not ask for: users writing in unprompted to say that other platforms leave them anxious, and that this one does not.

“When users articulate the exact problem you set out to solve without being prompted, that is incredibly powerful.”

She is now raising, and clear-eyed about what she is and is not claiming.

“The thesis I put in front of investors is not that people are going to stop using Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. We are giving them another option.”

Give Joy, Get Joy

Twenty years of enterprise selling taught Ashley Quincey how organizations make decisions, how trust is built across complex relationships, and how quickly businesses have to learn and adapt. The company she is building now carries a much simpler four-word promise: Give Joy, Get Joy. It reflects both the experience she wants people to have on Fureelz and the role giving plays within the platform.

For two decades, the products she was selling always belonged to somebody else. This is the first one where the thesis is hers to prove.
