Trust, leadership, and human judgment remain an organization’s greatest competitive advantage.

Most businesses focus on getting customers to buy.

Courtney Fadjo Biro believes the real challenge comes much earlier. Before people choose a product, they choose whether they trust the company behind it. They decide whether they understand the problem it solves and whether they believe it deserves their attention.

That perspective has shaped every stage of Courtney’s career. From helping organizations create entirely new market categories to advising founders through critical growth decisions, she has built her work around a simple belief: the most sustainable growth and strongest business results are earned by creating genuine value first.

“Creating belief isn’t about convincing people. It’s about understanding them. It’s about listening first, recognizing what motivates or concerns them, and meeting them where they are. Trust is earned when people feel understood, not marketed to.”

Today, as Founder of CFB Growth Consulting, Courtney partners with founders, CEOs, investors, and executive teams as they prepare for pivotal growth decisions. While marketing remains an important part of those conversations, her role extends far beyond it. She helps leadership teams connect the dots across strategy, marketing, product, customer experience, finance, operations, and organizational readiness, enabling them to make confident decisions before they become costly ones.

Rather than chasing short-term momentum, Courtney helps organizations create businesses that customers trust, teams believe in, and leaders can confidently scale.

Where Building First Became Second Nature

Long before she was building companies, Courtney was drawn to building communities.

One of her earliest defining experiences came as a child while living through Hurricane Andrew in Florida. Watching life change overnight taught her that resilience is rarely built alone. It grows through perspective, adaptability, and people who choose to support one another when uncertainty arrives.

“At a young age, I witnessed how quickly life can change and how resilience, adaptability, and the strength of a community become essential during times of uncertainty. It gave me an appreciation for perspective and reinforced that while we can’t always control our circumstances, we can control how we respond to them.”

Another formative moment came after transferring to a newly opened elementary school, where she became its first student body president. Looking back, she sees that experience less as an introduction to leadership and more as the beginning of something that has stayed with her ever since: a desire to build.

“I didn’t simply enjoy leading. I loved helping build something from the ground up. Bringing people together around a shared vision and creating something bigger than any one person could accomplish became a pattern that has followed me throughout my life.”

That instinct quietly shaped the path that followed. Throughout her career, Courtney has consistently stepped into organizations during periods of change, helping teams create new opportunities, strengthen existing businesses, and move confidently through uncertainty.

What has remained constant are the principles that guide her. She believes leadership is measured not only by the results an organization achieves, but by how those results are achieved. Consistency, integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning have shaped the way she leads teams, builds relationships, earns trust, and delivers sustainable business outcomes.

Helping Markets Believe Before They Buy

Across Fortune 500 companies, high growth businesses, and emerging brands, Courtney has helped launch new market categories, scale consumer businesses, support organizations through critical capital raises, and guide organizations through pivotal stages of growth.

Despite the variety of industries and business challenges, one thread has remained consistent. She is most often called upon when organizations are preparing to make decisions that shape what comes next.

At VSP Global, she helped build one of the first direct-to-consumer vision insurance offerings, introducing a solution many consumers had never considered before. Later, at Zenni Optical, she contributed to scaling the business from approximately $200 million to more than $400 million in annual revenue while leading growth marketing, consumer insights, and new business initiatives. Those experiences reinforced her belief that the strongest business results come from understanding people before asking them to make a decision.

“The most successful brands don’t simply promote a product. They help people see a challenge, possibility, or opportunity through a new lens. When you lead with empathy, transparency, and genuine value, belief naturally follows.”

Today, Courtney brings that same perspective into the boardroom. Increasingly, founders, CEOs, investors, and executive teams invite her into conversations before major growth decisions are made, when the challenge is no longer simply how to market a business, but how to prepare it for sustainable growth. Her role is to help leaders see the bigger picture, connecting strategy, customer insight, operations, and organizational readiness before execution begins.

When Strategy Meets Humanity

For someone who has spent nearly two decades leading growth, Courtney talks surprisingly little about marketing tactics.

She talks about people.

The strongest organizations, she believes, are built by teams that trust one another, share a clear purpose, and understand the people they serve. Growth follows naturally when those pieces are in place.

“Strategy matters, but sustainable growth comes from people who trust one another, share a common purpose, and are committed to creating something meaningful together.”

That perspective has only become more relevant as artificial intelligence changes the way businesses operate. Courtney embraces technology and its ability to accelerate analysis, improve execution, and uncover insights, but she sees it as a tool, not a substitute for leadership.

“Technology increases speed. People create meaning.”

For her, the future belongs to organizations that combine technology with human judgment, curiosity, and empathy. AI may improve efficiency, but lasting relationships, thoughtful decisions, and strong leadership remain distinctly human.

That same philosophy extends beyond business strategy to personal reputation.

“A personal reputation is built much like a great brand, not by what you say about yourself, but by the experiences others have working with you.”

It is a belief reflected throughout her career, where many of her strongest professional relationships have grown into long-term collaborations built on trust, shared success, and mutual respect.

Building What Matters Long After the Growth Curve

Over the past few years, Courtney’s work has evolved in a meaningful way.

While Courtney continues to serve as a fractional growth and marketing leader, organizations increasingly engage her much earlier in the decision-making process. Before a growth strategy is executed, founders, CEOs, investors, and executive teams often bring her in to help ensure the strategic and organizational foundations are in place for sustainable growth.

Whether an organization is preparing to launch a new business or product, expand into a new market or distribution channel, decide where to invest for its next stage of growth, build the right leadership team, establish strategic partnerships, or prepare to scale, Courtney helps leaders think through consequential decisions before they become expensive ones.

Her role is to connect the dots across strategy, marketing, product, customer experience, finance, operations, and organizational readiness, giving leadership teams the clarity and confidence to move forward with purpose. Marketing remains an important part of the picture, but it is one piece of a much broader business conversation.

That evolution reflects how organizations increasingly see her value. They are not simply looking for someone to execute a growth strategy. They are looking for a trusted advisor who can help shape it.

Perhaps the most personal insight into Courtney’s leadership comes from a simple phrase shared by a close friend who passed away far too young.

“Bless them. Change me.”

For Courtney, those words are a daily reminder that growth begins with personal responsibility. Markets change. Technology evolves. Business priorities shift. But humility, curiosity, and integrity remain the qualities that help leaders make better decisions for the people they serve.

In the end, lasting growth isn’t built by chasing the next opportunity. It is built by making the right decisions, earning trust along the way, and creating something people believe in long after the moment has passed.
