The agreement between you and Executives Diary when you read the site, subscribe, submit content or are featured.
By using the site, subscribing, submitting content, or being featured, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What Executives Diary is
Executives Diary is a global magazine that publishes career stories of senior leaders and operators. Features are built primarily from the featured person’s own account of their career, supplied to us through interviews, questionnaires and written submissions. Our features are not investigations, background checks, audits or endorsements. Our Editorial Policy describes how features are produced and what they do and do not represent.
2. Use of the site
You may use the site for personal and professional reading and for sharing links to our content. You may not scrape, copy, republish or redistribute our content in bulk, use the site to send unsolicited messages, interfere with the site’s operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or block access to anyone who breaches these Terms.
3. Accounts and subscriptions
Where you create an account or subscribe, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login details secure. You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
4. Being featured
4.1 Featuring in Executives Diary is free. Optional promotion packages are available after publication. Purchasing a package does not give the buyer editorial control over the content, headline, images or placement of a feature, and does not change the standards described in our Editorial Policy.
4.2 By taking part in a feature you confirm that the information you give us about yourself, your career, your qualifications and your achievements is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to share any images or material you provide, and that you are not relying on us to verify your claims for you.
4.3 You grant Executives Diary a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to edit, publish, distribute and promote your feature across our website, email, social media and partner channels, and to keep it available in our archive. You retain ownership of your own words and images.
4.4 Featured individuals may ask us to correct factual errors, update details that have changed, or remove a feature. Requests are handled under our Editorial Policy. We aim to respond within ten business days.
5. Content you submit
Anything you submit to us, including interview answers, articles, comments, images and testimonials, must be your own or used with permission, must be accurate, and must not be defamatory, infringing, obscene or unlawful. We may edit, decline or remove submitted content at our discretion. You are responsible for what you submit.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the site, including text, design, logos and layout, is owned by or licensed to Executives Diary and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Any other reuse requires our written permission.
7. Third-party information, allegations and complaints
7.1 We publish career stories as told to us. We do not adjudicate disputes, investigate personal conduct, or take a position on allegations made against featured individuals, whether by readers, former clients, colleagues or anyone else.
7.2 If you believe a feature contains a factual error, or you hold information that you believe we should be aware of, you may write to editorial@executivesdiary.com. We will acknowledge your message and review it under our Editorial Policy. We do not promise any particular outcome, and we do not publish, forward or respond publicly to correspondence of this kind.
8. Disclaimer
The site and its content are provided “as is” for general information. We make no warranty that the site or any feature is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. Opinions expressed in features and articles are those of the individual featured or the author, not of Executives Diary.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Executives Diary, its directors, editors, contractors and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, arising from your use of the site, reliance on its content, or any dealings you have with a person or organisation featured on the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Executives Diary against any claim, loss or cost arising from content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the site.
11. Links and third-party services
The site links to external websites and services, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Amazon and featured individuals’ own websites. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you agree to their jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
