Dr. Timogi Jackson: Building Human-Centered Leaders in an AI-Driven World

How the Founder of Create & Facilitate Is Helping Organizations Develop the Leadership Skills Technology Cannot Replace
Dr. Timogi

Who is Dr. Timogi?

Dr. Timogi, based in the United States, is a corporate trainer, executive coach, author, and the owner of Create & Facilitate, LLC, a customized training and consulting company focused on helping organizations strengthen leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and team development. With more than 20 years of experience working across corporations, nonprofits, municipalities, educational organizations, and private businesses, she has built a career centered on one core belief: people perform better when they understand themselves and one another more effectively. Through leadership coaching, mediation services, workshops, retreat facilitation, and customized certification programs, Dr. Timogi develops practical learning experiences designed to help individuals and organizations move from confusion to clarity, and from disconnection to growth. Her philosophy is reflected in the message that defines much of her work: “Taking People and Organizations From Elusive to Empowered.”

For more than two decades, Dr. Timogi Jackson has been asking leaders a deceptively simple question:

It is a question that has shaped her career as a trainer, executive coach, facilitator, author, and founder of Create & Facilitate, LLC. Throughout her work with municipalities, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private-sector employers, she has observed a common challenge: organizations often invest heavily in systems, processes, and technical expertise while overlooking the human skills that determine whether teams ultimately succeed.

That observation became the foundation for her professional mission, and eventually her company.

Today, as organizations navigate rapid technological advancement, workforce transitions, and evolving employee expectations, Dr. Timogi believes the need for strong human-centered leadership has never been greater.

A Career Built Around Understanding People

Long before launching Create & Facilitate, Dr. Timogi’s work centered on communication, empowerment, leadership, and organizational development. Her professional experiences exposed her to a wide range of workplace environments, each presenting unique challenges related to communication, accountability, team dynamics, and personal growth.

Over time, she recognized a recurring pattern. Organizations frequently promoted high-performing employees into leadership positions because of their technical expertise, yet many of those new leaders received little preparation for managing people.

The result was often avoidable conflict, communication breakdowns, disengaged employees, and missed opportunities for growth.

Rather than viewing these challenges as personnel issues, Dr. Timogi saw them as leadership development opportunities. She became increasingly focused on helping individuals understand not only how to perform their jobs, but how to lead, communicate, motivate, and collaborate effectively.

That philosophy continues to guide her work today.

Why She Founded Create & Facilitate

In 2013, Dr. Timogi founded Create & Facilitate, LLC to help organizations strengthen the human side of performance. She envisioned a company that would move beyond generic training programs and provide customized learning experiences tailored to each organization’s unique needs, goals, and culture.

Her belief was simple: meaningful development occurs when learning is practical, relevant, and immediately applicable.

Since its founding, Create & Facilitate has worked with municipalities, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to address challenges related to leadership development, communication, conflict resolution, team effectiveness, customer service, organizational change, and workplace culture.

The company’s approach emphasizes interaction, discussion, application, and accountability helping participants connect concepts directly to the realities they face every day.

Why Human Leadership Matters More Than Ever

As artificial intelligence continues transforming the workplace, Dr. Timogi believes organizations are entering a period where human skills will become increasingly valuable.

Technology can streamline processes, automate routine tasks, and improve efficiency. What it cannot do is build trust, navigate conflict, coach employees, demonstrate empathy, or create meaningful relationships.

Yet those capabilities remain essential to organizational success.

“Organizations are investing heavily in technology,” she explains, “but people still want to be heard, valued, understood, and supported.”

For leaders, this creates both an opportunity and a responsibility.

The future workforce will require technical expertise, but it will also require leaders who can communicate effectively, foster collaboration, guide teams through change, and create environments where employees can thrive.

A Special Focus on Municipalities and Skilled Trades

Dr. Timogi sees these leadership challenges particularly clearly in municipalities and skilled-trades environments.

Across local governments, public works departments, utilities, transportation organizations, and operational teams, technical excellence is often the pathway to promotion. The strongest technician becomes the supervisor. The most experienced crew member becomes the manager. The best employee becomes the department leader.

Yet technical expertise and leadership capability are not the same thing. Without proper development, many new leaders struggle with coaching, communication, conflict management, accountability, and team engagement.

Through Create & Facilitate, Dr. Timogi helps organizations bridge that gap by developing leaders who can successfully manage both performance and people. Her programs focus on communication, emotional intelligence, customer service, leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and workplace culture, skills that become increasingly important as organizations navigate workforce transitions and technological change.

Looking Ahead

As organizations prepare for the future, Dr. Timogi remains optimistic. While technology will continue changing how work gets done, she believes leadership will always remain a fundamentally human endeavor. Through Create & Facilitate, she continues helping organizations develop leaders who can build trust, strengthen communication, navigate uncertainty, and bring out the best in others.

Dr. Timogi’s latest book, Lit Not Burnt, explores one of today’s most pressing workplace challenges: helping employees achieve balance before burnout impacts performance, engagement, and well-being.

For Dr. Timogi, success has never been measured solely by productivity or performance. It has always been measured by people.

And in a world increasingly influenced by technology, that perspective may be more important than ever.
