In 1994 I moved from Spain to North Carolina to work in one of the very first Online Newspapers, there we pretty much invented a new way to communicate, and had the chance to be an active witness and member of the whole digital revolution from day one.
In 1999 I was one of the founding members of Terra Networks, the first Digital Media operation for Hispanics in the U.S.
In 2005 I was hired by Telemundo (NBC’s Hispanic outlet) to help develop the Digital media operation, its content and sales strategy.
In 2008 in moved back to Spain in an effort to be with my father as much as possible, he had contracted Alzheimer’s, and was clearly deteriorating rapidly. 2008 to 2011 were the worst years in my life, I couldn’t understand why something like that could happen, and it took me some time to come to terms with my dad’s illness and death.
In 2011 I came back to Miami and was hired by Univision to oversee the digital programming and content day to day and strategy.
In 2013 I left Univision and founded Durruti Digital, a small Digital Transformation Boutique to help companies first survive and then thrive in the new digital world.
