What is your favourite book and can you explain what you like about it?

My own personal library is about 500 books now. I don’t really have a favorite as I believe I’ve learned something from all of them. History is the best teacher we have. It teaches you what to do and what not to do. Many great people have made terrible mistakes in their lifetime so you learn from these and try not to duplicate the same errors.

We shouldn’t whitewash history. We should embrace the good and the bad and learn from it. We need to study and understand history instead of just using a broad brush to paint thousands or millions of people good and thousands or millions bad.

What is your favourite book and can you explain what you like about it?

My favorite business book is The Three Laws of Performance. The book is just a sampling into a much bigger idea but is a good entry point into managing teams in the 21st Century. The basic idea behind the philosophy is that people do not react based on what they think but in 100% accordance to how a situation occurs to them. Learning how something occurs to you and someone else and why it might be different is the best way to get someone working with you and not against you. Fiction: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I prefer the BBC radio programs but locked within its pages, I can find a quote for almost any occasion
