The name came originally from one of the founders. Fitting together payment methods and ensuring that they are enabled correctly is very much like the side of a Rubiks Cube, ensuring you have the correct colours matched! We also thought it makes a nice change from most other payment companies (who usually have pay or payments in their name!)
After working in payments for 7 years it has become clear that there is space for making online payments better! We had become disillusioned by our own industry and recognised that the merchants were not being served very well. The payment journey is the most important and ensuring that payments are processed as seamlessly as possible is incredibly important for both you and your customer. Rubiks Tech is on a mission to improve this by focusing on three main areas; improving payment acceptance rates, conversion and enabling merchants to expand seamlessly into new markets.
Rubiks Tech will become the premier checkout and payment gateway for online businesses looking to improve their overall acceptance, conversion and country expansion. We will be driving this through a unique data driven effort to ensure merchants can continually review and optimise their online payment offering.
