I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for helping people discover their potential. I’ve lived and worked across South Africa, the UK, and Qatar — each place shaping my worldview. Outside of work, I enjoy connecting with thought leaders, attending career cafés, and celebrating the success of others. Fun fact: I once had my first visitor in Doha be a dear friend fresh from launching her leadership book in Berlin — we celebrated over tea, proving that meaningful conversations can happen anywhere in the world.
I’m from South Africa, where diversity is woven into everyday life. My childhood memories are filled with vibrant community gatherings, music, and the sense that everyone had a story worth listening to. That curiosity about people has never left me.
One of my favorites is from the Carnegie Mellon University Qatar Career Café. The joy on the faces of young talent I met that day perfectly captured my belief in the next generation of leaders.
I started in quality assurance, which gave me a sharp eye for detail and a passion for improving processes. From there, I transitioned into learning and development at Investec, where I spent over seven years shaping programs that bridged skills gaps and elevated performance. My journey took me through Absa, Nedbank Private Wealth, and Old Mutual Limited, each role deepening my expertise in leadership development, performance management, and talent strategy. Today, at Nakilat in Qatar, I’m applying that knowledge in the maritime and energy sector — an exciting, high-impact space.
I’m a Learning and Development Specialist at Nakilat. My aim is to influence leadership culture globally, helping organizations not only achieve their goals but thrive in change. I see myself designing leadership ecosystems that outlast any single program or initiative.
In some ways, yes — but the surprises have been the best part. I never imagined working in Qatar’s energy sector, yet here I am, learning and contributing in ways I couldn’t have planned.
Education has been my compass. From my Bachelor’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology to my Prosci Change Management certification and my ongoing Master’s in Innovation and Technology, each milestone has sharpened my ability to navigate complex organizational challenges.
Stay curious and adaptable. Learning and development isn’t static — the best professionals are those who evolve with their organizations and keep their people at the center of every decision.
Build relationships before you need them. Your network will open doors, provide perspective, and challenge you to grow. And remember — consistency beats intensity.
It’s a brilliant concept. Every leader has a story worth telling, and Executives Diary captures those stories in a way that inspires, educates, and connects. It’s more than a publication — it’s a legacy archive for leadership journeys.
